Home Scents

Having a clean scent in your home is the number one way to instantly create a place you and others want to be. Scent is closely tied to memory, so it's powerful and important to get it right. In addition to that, if you're not a teenager anymore your home SHOULD smell like an actual adult, not febreeze. If you’ve ever gone to someone's place and thought to yourself, “damn it smells heavenly in here”, it's not by accident.

Right now, I’m obsessed with P.F. Candle Co. reed diffusers. You can get them at pfcandleco.com and are perfect if you don’t want to deal with candles, which always makes me paranoid I’m going to burn my building down. If you have a CB2 in your area, they also started carrying P.F. Candle Co. reed diffusers. If you prefer the candles, they also offer their amazing scents in candle form.

Another way to go is fragrance mists. Right before someone comes over you can spray it in the air or on your fabrics for an instant rush. Clean and neutral scents like lavender are best and cast the widest net as far as appeal, and don't tend to overpower others who may be sensitive to smell. Other than Lavender, what we use in our home is Damascene Rose, Orris & Aud by Antica Farmacista, which I purchased at Gump's in San Francisco, but you can also purchase online HERE in a wide variety of amazing scents.
