D.I.Y. - Removable Wall Paper
Spring is here and for most of us, it brings in the need for change. If you are wanting to transform your room or just get a different look, the easiest thing to do is do in your home is create an accent wall. If you are like me and don't want to take the time to paint, or if you are unable to there are some really easy solutions to avoid paint or if you like to change your accent walls relatively frequently.
If you haven't heard of or seen removable wall paper, it's a life changing and must have home decor option. Similarly to wall decals, removable wall paper has a mild and removable adhesive that does minimal or no damage to your walls.
Lots of stores carry different varieties that make it easy to take your room from bleak to chic! In the photo above, is from our apartment that we purchased from Target (check out the selection HERE) which was really affordable and stylish yet simple. I prefer patterns that aren't too loud or lock me in to a particular color pallet or decor style.
When picking out your paper, it's important to keep it simple, even though it is supposed to make a statement. Something that is understated often times can make an even bigger impact that a bold color or pattern, which can close the room in and make it look smaller. If you don't want to change anything else in the room, make sure you stick to neutral grey/cream/tan etc.
Another great use for removable wall paper is to create a back splash in your kitchen. There are tons of patterns that imitate brick, stone, and other materials typically used in a back splash without you having to invest in a remodel moment.
