Nashville Week - Anna LaPrad
Happy Weekend! In the last post for "Nashville Week", and in getting ready for the weekend, I wanted to share with everyone (especially all you country/rock fans) a super talented artist that we had the pleasure of meeting while we were in Nashville, Anna LaPrad. I met LaPrad at The Stage on Broadway after she joined another band for a song, and immediately loved her sound!
LaPrad's sound, to me, has that familiar sound of something new. What I mean by that is there are times when she is giving me full on Bonnie Raitt (among other powerful and distinguished vocalists) but at the same time is totally her own totally unique sound. The songwriting is incredible and edgy and her vocals absolutely slay.
Anna LaPrad is a singer songwriter originally from Rock Hill, South Carolina. Currently, LaPrad has 2 albums available on iTunes that you should immediately do yourself a favor, and check out. And if you ever get the chance to hear her live, it is a must! Some of my favorites from her most recent 2015 release Storyteller are: "Wanted Woman", power anthem "Watch it Burn", "Really", "You're Still Here", and of course title track "Storyteller", but every song from start to finish had me hooked.
